Armenia takes second place in team standings of U17 European Freestyle Wrestling Championships

The U17 European Freestyle Wrestling Championship ended on June 30 in Novi Sad, Serbia, with Armenian athletes taking second place in the team competition, losing first place to Azerbaijan.

Armenian wrestlers won 6 medals, including 1 gold and 5 bronze.

Gagik Ghazaryan (55 kg) won gold, while Artak Aghabekyan (45 kg), Armen Papikyan (48 kg), Ashot Gyulnazaryan (51 kg), Yeghishe Mosesyan (65 kg), and Sahak Hovhannisyan (80 kg) became bronze medalists.

The Turkish team claimed third place.
