Armenia wins first medals at World Deaf Wrestling Championship

Armenia’s representatives won 1 gold and 1 bronze medals at the World Deaf Wrestling Championship, which started on September 3 in Bishkek, Kyrgyzstan.

50 kg Arman Asatryan, Greco-Roman style wrestler, became the winner in the youth competition, and 55 kg Gevorg Soghoyan won a bronze medal.

The Armenian Greco-Roman style wrestling youth team was ranked third in the team competition.

Wrestlers participate under the leadership of coaches Gagik Serobyan, Martin Alikhanyan and Zhirayr Hovhannisyan.
