Armenian and Turkish experts already studying state of Gyumri-Kars railroad – Mirzoyan

In an interview with the Correio Braziliense, Armenian Foreign Minister Ararat Mirzoyan said that Armenia has a constructive dialogue with Turkey.

“We have a very constructive dialogue with Turkey. As part of this dialogue, neither the Armenian nor the Turkish side has imposed any preconditions. We have publicly stated that the primary objective of establishing diplomatic relations is to open the borders between Armenia and Turkey. This border was closed by Turkey 34 years ago,” he said, commenting on the prospects of normalization of relations between Armenia and Turkey.

According to him, Armenia has initiated infrastructure work at the border. “Armenian and Turkish specialists are already studying the state of the Gyumri-Kars railroad. These processes are already advancing,” Mirzoyan noted.
