Armenian artist Mher Chatinyan’s paintings to be displayed in South Korea

An international exhibition of contemporary artists from Russia and Uzbekistan will open in the South Korean city of Daegu. The exhibition marks the 20th anniversary of Daegu’s Bonsan Cultural Center. Mher Chatinyan from Armenia will present his works as well. The opening ceremony will be held on August 8, and the exhibition will last until September 1.

Mher Chatinyan is an Armenian painter, the grandson of Albert Chatinyan and the son of Hamlet Chatinyan, who are also painters. The artist’s paintings are highly influenced by Minas Avetisyan and Martiros Saryan.

Mher Chatinyan was born in 1989 in the Armenian city of Vanadzor. In 2010, he graduated from the Vanadzor State Pedagogical Institute, where he majored in painting and graphics. Since 2006, he has been regularly exhibiting his works in Vanadzor and Yerevan. His first solo exhibition was held in Moscow in 2017. He participated in art symposiums in Gyumri in 2012, 2013, 2014, Tbilisi in 2013, and Slovakia in 2014. He is a member of the World Union of Armenian Artists and a member of the Artists’ Union of Armenia.
