Armenian authorities aim to destroy national institutions – Sarkis Zelveyan

The campaign launched by the “pro-Turkish” government against the Church has nothing to do with the Patriarch, community activist and businessman Sarkis Zelveyan said in an interview with Alpha News.
According to him, the current issue is the destruction of national institutions.
“Let’s not forget that during the 1915 Genocide, the same pattern was used—eliminating the leaders of the nation. Today, we have internationally recognized Armenians—Samvel Karapetyan and Ruben Vardanyan—both of whom are under arrest. One is in a Baku prison, the other in a prison of ‘Azerbaijani’ Yerevan. These people did nothing wrong. As true Christians, they have spoken the truth,” Zelveyan said, adding that Karapetyan’s arrest is one of the ways to “decapitate” the nation’s elite.
Meanwhile, Armen Shahbazyan, head of the “Armenian Aryan Fist”, stated that the current authorities are enemies of the Armenian nation.
“With these actions against the Church and Samvel Karapetyan, I believe they are distracting society from a much harsher reality,” he said.
Shahbazyan linked the campaign against the Church to the Syunik issue, which he claims has already been decided.
“The Church is one of the last remaining pillars still standing. Most likely, the Syunik issue has already been settled, and the authorities are trying to create chaos in the country,” he added.
