Armenian authorities are doing everything to make us forget past – Hagop Pakradouni

One of the main issues of our people is the issue of memory and forgetting, Hagop Pakradouni, a member of the Lebanese Parliament, said during a live broadcast on Alpha News.

“We, those born after the genocide, know very well who Enver, Talaat, and Jemal Pashas were. We also know that their descendants grew up in the same political and ideological environment, with the same ideology. My concern today is connected with the current authorities. They are doing everything to make us forget the past, questioning even past events, debating the number of genocide victims,” he said.

According to him, political or economic agreements may be signed on paper, but what truly matters is the memory of the people.
