Armenian authorities are trying to twist my words – Robert Amsterdam

International human rights lawyer Robert Amsterdam, who represents philanthropist and businessman Samvel Karapetyan, wrote on his Facebook page that the Armenian authorities are misrepresenting his words.

“The authorities are trying to twist my words, as if I were calling on the EU to stop ‘support allocated for reforms in the Republic of Armenia.’

 The money is not intended for the people, but for your party;

 The cost of imprisoning innocent clergy and attacking the sons of Christ is far too high,” he emphasized.
