Armenian boxers secure at least three medals at European Championships in Croatia

The Armenian youth boxing team continues to show successful fights at the European Championships in Croatia.

As Armenpress reports, Lusya Avetisyan (54 kg) defeated Croatia’s Gabriela Vencl and, having reached the semifinals, secured at least a bronze medal. The Armenian athlete had a noticeable advantage in all rounds. She knocked down her opponent in the third round.

The current European champion, David Simonyan, became the winner among the men. The Armenian athlete defeated Italy’s Aharon Corona 4-1. In the heavyweight division, Misak Tepanyan beat Slovakian Sebastian Salomon 5-0. Simonyan and Tepanyan reached the semi-finals and secured at least bronze medals.
