Armenian church land was put up for sale in Halfeti district of Turkey’s Sanliurfa province, Turkish media reported.

The announcement was posted on the website of a real estate agency, noting that the land with the “Armenian church and priest’s house” is being sold for 2,810,000 liras (about US $77,500). The church’s area is 904 square meters. There is also a certificate of ownership for the building.

A local resident living nearby noted that Armenians used to live there. According to him, Armenians left the village about 120 years ago, after which part of the church was turned into a mosque.
