Armenian churches among Iran’s attractions

Armenian churches and cemeteries in Abadan and Ahvaz make these Iranian cities unique, yet they remain little-known tourist destinations in this ancient country, writes the Tehran Times.

These historical sites reflect the enduring presence of the Armenian community in the region and attract many pilgrims as well as history enthusiasts.

Currently, the church in Abadan has been fully restored, while the temple in Ahvaz still needs further renovation.
