Armenian community of Argentina protests during the concert organized by the Azerbaijani Embassy

Members of the Armenian community from Buenos Aires held a rally during the concert organized by the Azerbaijani Embassy in the Globe Theatre.

The concert was timed to the birthday of ex-president of Azerbaijan Heydar Aliyev and the 30th anniversary of diplomatic relations between Azerbaijan and Argentina. The protest organized by the Armenian Youth Union and ARAMA (Representative Association of Armenian Refugees from Argentina), took place during the performance of Azerbaijani opera singer Yusif Eyvazov, who refused to perform with the Armenian singer Ruzan Mantashyan at the time.

“A tragic concert. Azerbaijan holds 120,000 Armenians from besieged Artsakh without access to food, medication and fuel. The former prosecutor of the International Criminal Court Luis Ocampo called it a genocide,” the statement says.
