Armenian Community Won: Monument to Ataturk will not be erected in Prague

On Monday, the Prague 6 Town Hall declined the request of Turkiye to erect the monument to Ataturk, CTK reported.
The monument was supposed to be erected as part of the 100th anniversary of the foundation of Turkiye.
Earlier, the Armenian community of the Czech Republic addressed a letter to the Prague 6 Council members demanding not to erect a monument of the person guilty of the genocide of Armenians and Greeks. The letter was signed by Archimandrite Barsegh Pilavchyan, editor-in-chief of Orer magazine Hakob Asatryan and editor-in-chief of orer.eu Anna Karapetyan.
