Armenian National Assembly ratifies EAEU agreement on mutual recognition of academic degree certificates

The National Assembly of Armenia ratified the agreement on mutual recognition of documents on academic degrees in the Eurasian Economic Union (EAEU) member states.

The parliament adopted the draft ratification of the agreement with 95 votes in favor.

The agreement was signed on June 8, 2023, at the level of the heads of government of the EAEU member states.

Its ultimate goal is to allow holders of academic degrees to carry out professional activities in the EAEU countries without additional checks and procedures.

The provisions of the agreement will also apply to documents on academic degrees issued before the entry into force of the said agreement, except in cases where, during the procedure for recognizing documents on academic degrees in the state of employment, a negative decision was made based on the results of the examination.
