Armenian National Philharmonic Orchestra to go on tour to Austria and Slovakia

On September 19-23, the National Philharmonic Orchestra of Armenia will go on tour to Austria and Slovakia. Artistic Director and Principal Conductor of the National Philharmonic Orchestra of Armenia Eduard Topchjan said at a meeting with journalists that the orchestra will take part in a very big festival in Bratislava.

“Many famous orchestras are participating in the festival. I am really honored that the National Philharmonic Orchestra of Armenia is included in the list of such orchestras,” he said.

Topchjan said that the orchestra will perform at the opening of the events that mark the 200th anniversary of famous Austrian composer Anton Bruckner. It will perform his 9th Symphony in one of the most famous concert halls in Austria.

“It is a great honor for the Armenian orchestra to perform at the opening concert of the events dedicated to Bruckner’s 200th anniversary. It is a great responsibility,” Eduard Topchjan said.
