Armenian participant ranks third in ‘Young Ballet of the World’ competition

The winners of the IX International Yuri Grigorovich Competition ‘Young Ballet of the World’ have been announced in Sochi.

50 dancers from Armenia, Belarus, Kazakhstan, Russia, the Republic of Korea, and Japan took part in the competition.

The competition was held in three stages in two age categories: junior and senior. The main event was dedicated to classical dance; additional events included folk stage dance and modern choreography.

By the decision of the international jury, Tigran Ayvazyan from Armenia was ranked third in the junior group.
