Armenian passports’ validity endorsement to not be required as of January 1, 2024

According to the Government Decree of the Republic of Armenia № 1604-N of September 22, 2023, the Migration and Citizenship Service of the Ministry of Internal Affairs of the Republic of Armenia will start issuing ordinary (non-biometric) passports without an endorsement stating the validity of the passport for foreign countries from January 1, 2024, the Armenian Foreign Ministry reports.
“Until January 1, 2024, ordinary (non-biometric) passports issued to nationals of Armenia must contain an endorsement stating the validity of the passport for foreign countries.
After January 1, 2024, ordinary (non-biometric) passports will be considered valid in foreign countries during the validity period, regardless of the presence of an endorsement stating the validity of the passport for foreign countries on page 4 of the passport,” the Armenian Foreign Ministry adds.
