Armenian Prime Minister and Azerbaijani President had warm conversation – CIS Secretary General

CIS Secretary General Sergey Lebedev shared that on the sidelines of the CIS summit in Dushanbe, Armenian Prime Minister Nikol Pashinyan and Azerbaijani President Ilham Aliyev had a warm and friendly conversation, discussing the path toward strengthening peace and security in the region.

“Not only the weather, but also the atmosphere in Dushanbe—beautiful and festive—contributed to the fact that many meetings and discussions led to positive outcomes. You probably saw for yourselves that the Prime Minister of Armenia and the President of Azerbaijan communicated very warmly, discussing not contentious issues, but how to move forward in strengthening peace and security in the South Caucasus region,” Lebedev told reporters following the summit.
