Armenian Quarter in Jerusalem not affected by overnight attacks

The Armenian Quarter of the Old City, owned by the Armenian Church since the 14th century and serving as the spiritual center of the community, remained unharmed. Yesterday, a rocket struck West Jerusalem, causing civilian casualties, but none among the Armenians.
Archimandrite Emmanuel Atajanyan of the Armenian Church in Jerusalem emphasized that the main concern is the Cows’ Garden—a plot of land in the quarter around which tensions have persisted for several years due to attempts to lease it for construction. This situation directly concerns the preservation of the status quo and the protection of the rights of the Armenian community.
