Armenian Ruben Arakelyan to become chief architect of Kazan city

Ruben Arakelyan will become the chief architect of Kazan, the capital of Tatarstan, Russia, on a pro bono basis. His appointment was announced by the mayor of Kazan, Ilsur Metshin.
Arakelyan will supervise the work of the City Development Institute.

Ruben Arakelyan is a well-known architect and co-founder of the WALL Architectural Bureau.
WALL, founded in 2014 together with Hayk Navasardyan, is one of the main newsmakers of the “new wave” in modern Moscow architecture.
