Armenian sambo wrestler Karen Sargsyan wins gold at the 2026 Sambo Founders Cup in Moscow

Armenian athlete Karen Sargsyan (under 58 kg) has won the 2026 Sambo Founders Cup international tournament held in Moscow.
Just days earlier, Sargsyan had convincingly claimed the 2026 Armenian national championship before heading to the Russian capital, where he demonstrated his strong form. During the tournament, he secured a string of decisive victories over top Russian sambo wrestlers to claim the top spot on the podium.

Vahram Sargsyan (71 kg), competing for Russia, also took gold at the tournament.
