Armenian school students win 17 medals at International Olympiad in Kazakhstan

The 20th International Zhautykov Olympiad in Mathematics, Physics and Computer Science was held in Almaty, Kazakhstan, from January 8 to 13, 2024.

15 students from the Artashes Shahinyan Physics and Mathematics School, 13 students from the Quantum College and 5 students from the Photon College took part in the Olympiad, the Armenian Ministry of Education and Science reported.

Armenian students won a total of 17 medals: 2 gold, 5 silver and 10 bronze.

The International Zhautykov Olympiad is one of the most prestigious educational events held in Kazakhstan. Talented contestants from more than fifteen countries tackle sophisticated problems in mathematics, physics, and computer science while collaborating in teams.
