The State Chamber Orchestra of Armenia performed at the Festival Puplinge Classique in Geneva, Switzerland, which celebrated its 15th anniversary this year.

At the gala evening of the festival in the famous Victoria Hall, the chamber orchestra under the baton of conductor Luc Baghdassarian received a warm welcome from the audience and a standing ovation.

The concert also featured the Sine Nomine Quartet, pianist François-Xavier Poizat, clarinetist Damien Bachmann, singer Elina Duni, Baiju Bhatt, and Red Sun. In the second section of the concert, the Swiss Youth Orchestra performed with the Chamber Orchestra, one of the best manifestations of bilateral cultural dialogue.

The evening was attended by the Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of Armenia to Switzerland Andranik Hovhannisyan and the entire staff of the Embassy, as well as the board members of Armenian foundations, members of the Armenian community, and others.

This was the first part of the orchestra’s tour dedicated to the 100th anniversary of legendary Charles Aznavour. The orchestra participated in the festival at the invitation of Artistic Director François-Xavier Poizat and Artistic Coordinator of the gala concert of the international music festival Ani Gasparyan.
