Armenian students win 4 bronze medals at International Olympiad in Informatics

Armenian students won four bronze medals at the 37th International Olympiad in Informatics, the Armenian Ministry of Education reports.
The Armenian team was represented at the Olympiad by students of the A. Shahinyan Specialized School of Physics and Mathematics – Tsovak Yeghoryan (12th grade), Martin Khachatryan (12th grade) and Tigran Matsakyan (10th grade) – as well as student of Quantum College, Alex Grigoryan (11th grade). All participants of the Armenian team were awarded bronze medals. The Armenian team was headed by Vahram Dumanyan (Advisor to the Prime Minister of the Republic of Armenia) and Armen Andreasyan (Yerevan State University).
The Olympiad, which was attended by 334 schoolchildren from 86 countries, was held from July 27 to August 3 in Sucre, Bolivia. No more than four students were allowed to represent each country. The Olympiad was held in two stages, with three tasks in each stage.
