Armenian students win silver and bronze medals at International Olympiad in Informatics

Armenian students won 1 silver and 1 bronze medal at the 36th International Olympiad in Informatics held September 1-8 in Alexandria, Egypt.

370 students from 96 countries took part in the Olympiad, with each country sending a maximum of 4 participants.

The Olympiad was held in two rounds: three tasks in each. Gagik Gevorgyan (11th grade) took silver, and Tsovak Yegoryan (11th grade) secured bronze. The Armenian team was headed by YSU lecturer Armen Andreasyan and student Samvel Andreasyan.
