Armenian students win silver at International Chemistry Olympiad in UAE

The Armenian team won a silver medal and three honorable mentions at the 57th International Chemistry Olympiad (IChO), held in Dubai, United Arab Emirates, from July 5 to 14, the press office of the Armenian Education Ministry reports.

Arman Khachatryan, a 12th-grade student at the Vanadzor Special School with Advanced Studies in Mathematics and Natural Sciences, earned a silver medal. Meanwhile, David Ghazaryan, a 12th-grade student at Quantum College, Sevada Harutyunyan, a 12th-grade student at Photon College in Gyumri, and Mikael Aleksanyan, an 11th-grade student at the Vanadzor Special School, were awarded honorable mention diplomas.

The Olympiad brought together 355 students from 90 countries. Each country could be represented by a maximum of four participants.
