Armenian U16 women’s basketball team wins silver medal at European Championship Division C

The Armenian U16 women’s basketball team earned the silver medal at the European U16 Basketball Championship in Division C, which concluded yesterday. In the final match, the Armenian basketball players lost to the Cypriot team with the score 58-65, Sportaran reports.

The leader of the Armenian national team in the decisive game was Kelin Shajanian, who scored 22 points. Following the results of the whole tournament, she took second place among the top scorers, averaging 15.6 points per game.

Ava Seda Gharib also demonstrated impressive statistics, finishing second in tournament rebounds with an average of 11.4 per game.
