Armenians and Kurds of Syria join torchlight procession in memory of Armenian Genocide victims

Kurdology specialist Apres Zohrabyan reported that Syrian Armenians and Kurds, along with their spiritual leaders, participated in the torchlight procession commemorating the victims of the Armenian Genocide.

“Armenians and Kurds from Syria’s Rojava region—a predominantly Kurdish-populated autonomous area—joined their spiritual leaders in a torchlight procession dedicated to the memory of the Armenian Genocide victims,” Apres Zohrabyan wrote.

Sheikh Murshid Al-Khaznawi, a prominent theologian of Kurdish origin in the Islamic world, said in a public speech, “Those who do not share the pain of others pave the way for the repetition of the tragedy.”
