On April 23, the Armenian community of Georgia held a traditional torchlight procession in Tbilisi to honor the victims of the Armenian Genocide, as reported on the community’s Facebook page.

The procession began near the Isani metro station and continued to the khachkar—a memorial cross-stone commemorating the innocent victims of the Armenian Genocide—located in the courtyard of the Surb Echmiadzin Armenian Church. Father Kirakos Simonyan, Priest of the Surb Echmiadzin Church, also took part in the procession.

The participants of the procession were handed out leaflets telling about the Armenian Genocide. A peaceful liturgy was conducted in the church, and at the conclusion of the march, attendees laid flowers at the khachkar.
