Economic activity in Armenia increased by 7.6% year-on-year in January-September 2025, according to the Eurasian Development Bank’s (EDB) weekly macroeconomic review.
The main drivers were the services sector (+9.9%) and construction (+20.7%). The decline in industry (–5.7%) persisted due to the fading impact of trade growth and precious metals processing in early 2024, which also led to a decrease in exports (–46.8%) and imports (–33.3%) over the nine-month period. In the third quarter, Armenia’s industrial sector returned to growth (+5.1%), which is expected to support economic activity for the remainder of the year.
