Armenia’s Ministry of Economy confirms second import of petroleum products from Azerbaijan

The Armenian Ministry of Economy has confirmed reports from Azerbaijani media about the import of a second batch of petroleum products from Azerbaijan. Ministry spokesperson Lilit Shaboyan confirmed the information without providing additional details in response to an inquiry by Armenpress.
According to Azerbaijani media, on January 8 a larger batch is expected to arrive in Armenia, including 1,000 tons of RON 92 gasoline, 1,000 tons of diesel fuel, and 1,800 tons of RON 95 gasoline.
The first import of petroleum products from Azerbaijan took place in December 2025. At that time, a train consisting of 22 wagons carrying 1,218 tons of RON 95 gasoline arrived at the Ayrum railway station via the territory of Georgia.
