Armenia’s unemployment rate rose to 13.3% – World Bank

Armenia’s unemployment rate in Q3 2024, according to the World Bank survey, amounted to 13.3%, up from 12% in the previous year, the Armenian Business Portal said on Telegram.
It is noted that the main growth was observed in rural areas.
To combat unemployment, the government has approved the Employment Strategy for 2025-2031, aimed at supporting youth, women aged 30-39 and social security beneficiaries. The Armenian authorities plan to reduce unemployment to below 10%.
