Arnenia and Azerbaijan agreed on about 80% of peace treaty’s text — Aliyev

Azerbaijani President Ilham Aliyev said Armenia and Azerbaijan had already agreed upon about 80% of the text of the peace treaty, Azerbaijani media reported.

“We can achieve peace in the South Caucasus. We see that this is possible during peace talks between Azerbaijan and Armenia. We have already achieved the launch of the process of border delimitation, even demarcation. Yes, this is the first small step: only a 13-kilometer section of the border with Armenia with a total length of thousands of kilometers has been agreed upon. However, it is a step in the right direction. We hope that Azerbaijan’s initiative on peace talks will lead to the signing of a peace treaty,” he said.
