Arsen Davtyan ranks first at European Chess Championship U18

Armenian chess player Arsen Davtyan became the champion of Europe under 18.

Davtyan lost in the first round at the European Chess Championship, held in Mamaia, Romania. However, later he won 8 consecutive victories, scoring 8 out of 9 possible points.

Another representative of Armenia, Emil Ohanyan, was ranked fourth.
