Arthur Khachikian: Even I am greeted at US airport, but Pashinyan is not

Speaking with Alpha News, Dr. Arthur Khachikian called the phone conversation between Vladimir Putin and Donald Trump a historic event and noted that Armenia’s future will also be on the agenda of these two leaders.
“The eyes of the whole world are on Trump and Putin. They will determine the future world order, at least for the next 10-15 years. In other words, they will determine what will happen in any region. Unfortunately, we will not be at this table as negotiators, we will be divided at this table, and our issues, as always, will be resolved without us. We will wait in the corridor,” Khachikian said.
Khachikian emphasized that the Armenian authorities are to blame for everything that happened, since it was they who severed allied relations with official Moscow.
“We have no real allied relations with either Putin or Trump, because our ‘brilliant’ government has ruined everything. We all saw how Pashinyan was received in Washington, not a single American newspaper wrote about his visit. Even I am greeted at the US airport, but Pashinyan is not,” Arthur Khachikian said.
According to the political scientist, with the help of Israel, the issue of the “Zangezur corridor” will be resolved first of all—in favor of Azerbaijan.
“The two main players in the world will now begin to determine the fate of the rest, and we, as always, have spoiled our relations with both of them. The Zangezur issue will be first on the regional agenda, but unfortunately, US foreign policy is controlled by Israel, and its closest ally is Azerbaijan. The lobbyists of Israel and Azerbaijan are working together, meaning that Baku has very serious levers of influence in Washington. It is quite possible that the lobbyists will exert pressure to resolve the Zangezur corridor issue in the interests of Azerbaijan,” Arthur Khachikian concluded.
