Arthur Martirosyan: When relying on the West, will we be able to get what is most important?
Even if France provides us with weapons, it will not solve our most important problem, Arthur Martirosyan, Senior Consultant with CMPartners, told Alpha News.
“When relying on the West, we need to ask a question: will we be able to get what is most important or not? They sign agreements with Ukraine, but they will have no meaning. I mean, they may help with weapons, but they will definitely not provide troops. As for technical and military cooperation, it is possible and it is not difficult to imagine that France will provide us with some weapons, but it will not solve our problem,” Martirosyan said.
According to Martirosyan, Armenia will not be able to receive from another country what it receives from Russia.
“We need more than just weapons. Will other countries provide us with what Russia gives us? Of course not. The system is not created in a month or a year. It is long-term work. What Ukraine was creating for 10 years turned out to be not enough. But in the case of Armenia, two hours are enough for the enemy to get Syunik, but we think that France will come and say: don’t do this. Open the history book, read, and see what happened when France signed an agreement with Turkey. When you look at the interests of other countries, you understand that France’s interests coincide more with Turkey and Azerbaijan than with Armenia,” Martirosyan concluded.
