ARTinvestment.RU puts up for auction Aivazovsky’s Crimean Landscape 

Auction house ARTinvestment.RU will hold an auction for 50 works by leading Russian artists of the 19th and 20th centuries. 

The top lot of the auction will be Crimean Landscape by the outstanding Russian marine painter of Armenian origin, Ivan Aivazovsky, which depicts the view of Yalta from the mountains. 

It is known that Aivazovsky painted views of Yalta throughout his career, masterfully conveying all the subtleties of natural lighting depending on the season, time of day and weather. 

The landscape was completed in 1863. It is a brilliant example of the mature period of the artist’s work.
