Having lost five workshops founded in Artsakh since 2020, as well as exceptional carpets that are a symbol of the Armenian cultural heritage, the Artsakh Carpet company has put up for sale the only carpet rescued from the Stepanakert carpet weaving factory to help about 30 families forcibly deported from Artsakh.

In an interview with NEWS. am, Sevak Khachatryan, head of the company, said that after the last war, the traditional handmade carpet “Tag Gorg” was rescued from a carpet weaving factory and delivered from Stepanakert to Yerevan by a young man who was deported together with his family.

The Artsakh Carpet was founded in 2013. Before the war of 2020, the company had workshops operating in Stepanakert, Shushi, Hadrut, Berdzor, and the village of Chartar.
