Artsakh people were not hostile to Russian peacekeepers, Metaxe Hakobyan says

It would seem that the Russian peacekeepers were treated with hostility in Artsakh, but it was not true, Artsakh MP Metaxe Hakobyan told Alpha News.

“It would seem to our compatriots from Armenia or the international community that the people of Artsakh were not satisfied with Russian peacekeepers or were hostile to them, but it was not like that. It was just small groups of people who spread such rumors,” Hakobyan said.

According to her, those small groups did not have supporters in Artsakh.

“Back in 2018, it was obvious that certain projects were being created in Artsakh. These projects have started to work actively. Over the years, they used simple technologies that were able to have an impact. But the people in Artsakh were wise. Even if there was an effect, it was very short-lived. These projects did not have supporters, so they made some noise outside Artsakh with the use of technologies. However, the reality in Artsakh was completely different,” Hakobyan said.
