Artsakh president files lawsuit against Armenia’s Ministry of Education and history textbook author

Lawyer Roman Yeritsyan has presented the final section of the lawsuit filed by president of the Republic of Artsakh, Samvel Shahramanyan, against the Ministry of Education, Science, Culture, and Sports of Armenia (MoESCS) and Nzhdeh Hovsepyan, the author of the 9th-grade History of Armenia textbook. The presentation also included a motion to secure the claim.

Yeritsyan, acting on behalf of the Artsakh president, filed a lawsuit seeking legal protection against the authors of the textbook, the MoESCS, and other responsible parties. The lawsuit demands a retraction of defamatory information contained in the book regarding President Samvel Shahramanyan.
