Romanian club Universitatea Cluj, where Armenian national team striker Artur Miranyan plays, has qualified for European competition for the first time since the 1972/73 season.

The Cluj-based team secured its place in the second qualifying round of the UEFA Conference League following Sunday’s matches in the Romanian championship.

Regardless of the outcomes in the final rounds, the “students” are guaranteed to finish no lower than fourth in the playoffs.

However, Miranyan’s contract with Universitatea Cluj runs until the summer of 2025, and it remains uncertain whether the club will offer him an extension.
