Kazakhstan may establish a new trade route to Turkey through Armenia, the country’s Minister of Economy, Serik Jumangarin announced on Friday, Sputnik Kazakhstan reports.

He noted that the route through Armenian territory would provide Astana with direct access to Turkish ports.

“Currently, we go through Azerbaijan to Georgia and then to Black Sea ports. The new route would allow us to reach Nakhichevan and from there directly enter Turkey, accessing its seaports,” the minister said.
