Standing in Spiritual Warfare for the Armenian Church

We invite you to join us this Saturday afternoon, December 27, 2025, at St. Leon Armenian Apostolic Church in Burbank, as we engage in spiritual warfare. Because Christ is the foundation of His Church—the Holy Mother See of Echmiadzin—we gather to repel the evil powers that seek to invade from the outside.

We pray specifically for the Armenian Church and for all bishops and clergy currently imprisoned, asking God to strengthen their faith. We also lift up the Armenian Pontiff, His Holiness Garegin II, Catholicos of All Armenians. This coming Sunday, December 28, 2025—the final Sunday before the New Year—we face a grave threat. A spirit of capitulation and evil aims to enter the Holy See to dethrone him. Just as Judas betrayed our Lord, this is an attempt to rob Christ of His glory.

This is a time of great temptation. Without spiritual strength and fervent prayer, we cannot defend the Holy See, our faith, or our Church. Any attempt to force entry into the sanctuary is an act of blasphemy and spiritual darkness, intended as a sacrifice to the enemy.

We are in a spiritual war. We must gather so that God will protect the Armenian Church, ensuring that we may hear His Holiness Catholicos Garegin II’s New Year and Christmas messages and blessings. The devil must lose this battle. Those who seek to cross this “red line” must understand that the alarm is sounding: if the Church is dethroned, the threat of another genocide follows.

Jesus warned us to pray so that we do not fall into temptation. If we do not stand now, we cannot rightfully celebrate the 2026 New Year or any subsequent years. Let us join together, bearing our crosses and lighting our candles. What is holy is holy. Let the enemy be cast out.
