Speaking with Alpha News, military expert Andrey Klintsevich commented on the Israeli Air Force strike on Qatar, as well as the US position on this issue.

“Impudence, dominance from a position of strength, a certain fear and confusion of the Middle Eastern states. From a military standpoint, we understand that the latest Patriot air defense systems and a number of other technologies that Qatar purchased from the United States could not have failed to detect both the aircraft and missiles entering their airspace. They simply did not shoot them down or react. We understand that this is a complete violation of international public law,” the expert said.

According to the expert, the US actions after Israel’s raid on Qatar characterize official Washington as an unreliable partner, and conclusions can be drawn from this when dealing with the White House in the Ukrainian direction.

“It is, so to speak, their business if they view their sovereignty in such a way that a neighboring state can bomb them. Well, this is, as they say, their internal position, but from the perspective of peacemaking and the reputation of the Americans, this is a powerful blow. Under American guarantees, the Hamas group flew to Qatar on neutral territory to discuss a peaceful settlement. In reality, they were lured under the guise of peace talks and then eliminated. Now, accordingly, we are transferring this situation to the Russian-Ukrainian negotiating track and the possibility of holding talks in some neutral states with the Ukrainian side, and so on. We understand that this is a very serious blow to the reputation, which will actually affect the reputation of the United States—not just in the Middle East, but globally,” Klintsevich emphasized.
