Azerbaijan and Georgia FMs discuss strategic partnership development

A phone conversation between Azerbaijan’s Foreign Minister Jeyhun Bayramov and Georgia’s Foreign Minister Maka Bochorishvili took place on December 29, 2025, Azerbaijani media reported.

During the discussion, the ministers reviewed the current state and future prospects of friendly and strategic partnership relations, emphasizing the role of active political dialogue and reciprocal visits in strengthening cooperation. The parties also highlighted the importance of expanding political contacts in the coming year.

Special attention was given to trade and regional communications. The ministers welcomed the agreement reached on tariffs related to the transit of Azerbaijani petroleum products through Georgian territory and stressed the need to continue work in this direction.
