Azerbaijan bans Russian MP Nikolai Valuev from entering country

Azerbaijan has banned Russian MP Nikolai Valuev from entering the country, Azerbaijani media reports.

The reason for the ban is “offensive statements and threats against Azerbaijan and the Azerbaijani people made by the Russian MP”. It is noted that these statements are “completely unacceptable”.

Earlier, commenting on Azerbaijan’s decision to close the “Russian House” in Baku, Valuev said that Russia should investigate the Azerbaijani community’s illegal activities on its territory.
