Azerbaijan calls on Armenia to remove obstacles to signing of peace deal

Azerbaijan calls on Armenia to remove the obstacles to the signing of the peace treaty, Azerbaijani Foreign Minister Jeyhun Bayramov said at the Summit of the Future in New York.

“Based on the progress achieved during the bilateral talks, we call for quick steps to eliminate the remaining obstacles and stress the importance of demonstrating the necessary political will and responsibility,” he said.

It should be noted that official Baku considers the presence of “territorial claims to Azerbaijan” in the Armenian Constitution the main obstacle to the peace treaty.
