Azerbaijan is interested in making Armenia concede as much as possible when signing any agreement, Konstantin Zatulin, First Deputy Chair of Russia’s State Duma Committee on CIS Affairs, told reporters today.

According to Zatulin, the parties are apparently far from establishing real peace in the South Caucasus.

“One-sided victories, like those achieved by Azerbaijan and Turkey over Karabakh, do not lead to peace but sow the seeds for new conflicts and episodes of confrontation,” the Russian MP concluded.
