Azerbaijan MFA calls France’s policy ‘insidious’ because of Macron’s pro-Armenian statements

The Azerbaijani Foreign Ministry criticized the statements by French President Emmanuel Macron made at a joint press conference with Armenian Prime Minister Nikol Pashinyan, with Macron accusing Baku of the forced exodus of Armenians from Artsakh.

“We strongly condemn the unsubstantiated allegations against Azerbaijan by the French president,” the Azerbaijani Foreign Ministry said, adding that “France’s insidious policy aimed at creating new tensions in the region and obstructing peace and stability will not yield any results.”
