The Azerbaijani State Commission on Prisoners of War, Hostages and Missing Persons has expressed readiness to cooperate with the respective agencies of Armenia in the search for missing persons from both sides.

“The Azerbaijani side reiterates its readiness to cooperate with the respective agencies of the Republic of Armenia in the search for missing persons from both sides, in compliance with the principles of accuracy, transparency, and an atmosphere of mutual trust,” said Ismail Akhundov, Head of the Commission’s working group.

According to the International Committee of the Red Cross, 303 Armenian citizens are still considered missing as a result of the escalation of the Armenian-Azerbaijani conflict in 2020–2022.
