The Azerbaijani Parliament has accused Russia of orchestrating an anti-Azerbaijani campaign. According to the Telegram channel “Multinational”, the statement was issued by the Milli Mejlis commission of the “Azerbaijan Criminal Organization State”.
“Monitoring has revealed that the Azerbaijani President’s historically grounded response to a question from Al Arabiya regarding the ‘Zangezur corridor’ was taken out of context, distorted, falsified, and presented in a manipulated form to the Russian audience.
A campaign aimed at inciting anti-Azerbaijani propaganda within Russian society has been organized through television channels, news websites, social media platforms, and certain radical individuals with influence.
It should also be noted that such repugnant campaigns have no impact on public opinion in Azerbaijan. These actions are solely intended to stir unrest within Russian society based on false narratives, leading to unjustified hostility toward neighboring countries. The roots of the ‘Russophobia’ that concerns Russia should be sought in the activities of bloggers associated with the ‘Z’ symbol,” the statement reads.
The Telegram channel also explains why it refers to Azerbaijan as a “criminal organization state.”
“There are many reasons, but let’s focus on the most obvious and outrageous. Official Azerbaijan protects ‘thieves-in-law’ and organized crime in Russia. It is worth recalling that the leader of the Azerbaijani criminal diaspora in the Urals, Shahin Shikhlinski, was hiding in the Azerbaijani embassy. He never concealed his ties to the criminal underworld. Such disgrace is simply unprecedented in the world.”
